Back in the Saddle

Our country is at a crossroads. Over the past three months, I have refocused on leading my people at work and engaging outside of work to address issues of racial injustice in my community.

My singular effort won’t have a big impact but the network building of individuals will combine impacts that ripple out like a pebble cast into a pond. Do not let a thought like “I can’t do much” stop you from taking action. As a fire starts from a spark so too does change start small.

Now, it is time to pivot back and continue my passion for developing and equipping others to be the best leaders they can be.

Though my post frequency may be less than my initial five months I trust you, dear reader, will find the content just as compelling.

Thank you for reading my little space on the web. I trust it is edifying and provides a perspective that helps you along your leadership journey.

Prime the Pump

Taken literally, priming is the step required to fill a pump prior to putting it into service. More colloquially, Merriam-Webster defines the phrase as: to take steps to encourage the growth or functioning of something.

This definition, along with my engineering background, is the reason this blog is called Primed for Leadership. My hope is you, the reader, will find content to help you either grow towards or improve and enhance your leadership skills.

Getting Started

In life, all of us have to decide to start. Getting up in the morning, learning a new skill, meeting new people. This website is my start. I have always enjoyed developing people and continue to mentor individuals internal and external to my organization. I have chosen this space to provide my perspective and advice on a larger scale.

I trust you will find something here that helps you chart your path. Thank you for stopping by.
